[April 16] I released a crochet pattern.

Finally, the weather we've been waiting for is sunny.
The weather has been lovely since this morning.

This bag is especially perfect for taking with you on days like that.

As I was selecting photos to objectively view the bag while wearing it, I began to feel like I had reached the project's destination.

Looking at them side by side, both threads are indeed appealing.

Which do you prefer?

Crochet pattern for "Arc Sling" released.

Ronique Store has started selling the "Arc Sling" pattern.
The product page contains detailed information on yarn usage and knitting instructions. Please take a look.

[4/13] The pattern is complete, all that's left is the photoshoot.

The pattern for this bag, "Arc Sling," is now complete.

The sky has been overcast for the past few days.
I'm hesitating a bit because I want to do the photoshoot on a day with nice sunshine.

I don't use them at the same time, but when I put the two side by side, I was looking at them objectively again and thinking how cute this color combination is.
Both have a really nice yarn texture.

I've always liked small bags.
I'm also drawn to small bags like the ones sold in outdoor and sporting goods stores.

A few years ago, when I suddenly decided to try running, the first thing I looked for was a bag.

If running is the main goal, then perhaps appearance is a secondary concern.

I'm someone who dislikes exercise but finds coordinating outfits more enjoyable.
I hoped that having my favorite belongings would help me stay motivated.

That's when I found a small running bag that could be worn across the body and fit snugly against it.
It's so small that even a smartphone won't fit inside.

This is really cute, but it's a shame that it's really only useful for running.

Needless to say, I didn't stick with running, but my preference for bags remains the same.

While knitting this piece, I was reminded of that bag.
The feeling that I've finally knitted what I wanted to knit might stem from memories like these.

The "Arc Sling" has a bit more capacity and is more practical.

This bag is perfect for everyday outings.

[4/6] A bag perfect for summer

The sample I'm knitting with Daruma's "SASAWASHI FLAT" yarn is nearing completion.

The firm texture helps maintain the bag's shape.
This sample is a stark contrast to the navy version, and I'm enjoying the process of choosing the right yarn.

A long time ago, a piece I knitted using SASAWASHI yarn was included in a co-authored book.

The color is black, which is often avoided in knitting projects.
It's very practical, and I still really like it.

At that moment, I realized that SASAWASHI is not just a natural yarn, but a wonderful yarn that exudes a sense of high quality.

Since then, SASAWASHI has been one of my trusted yarns.
This time, I used "FLAT" for the first time.

This bag opens and closes with a magnetic clasp, so a stiff yarn is also suitable.

FLAT yarn, being flat, offers a gentler knitting experience.
I'd like to get it done in one go until completion.

[4/4] "Arcsling" color variation sample

The first crocuses to bloom in the garden in spring.

Every year, they bloom even before it gets cold enough to want to go out into the garden.

I'm suddenly worried because it seems like the buds are sprouting later than usual this year.
When I checked this morning, it was there, showing its face in its usual spot.

Every time I go out, the snow around me is melting, and before I know it, the new school term for my second son and youngest child is just around the corner.

I've just returned to Sapporo after attending my eldest son's entrance ceremony in the Kanto region, where the cherry blossoms are in full bloom.

The portion that was previously divided into 5 was now divided into 4, and the pot for the miso soup became a little smaller.

Now, I wanted to continue working on the body bag project that was left unfinished, so I went looking for some thread.

My gauge prediction was correct, so I'm almost finished and can knit away with momentum.

[3/30] New crochet item: "Arc Sling"

A crescent moon? A croissant?
Or it could be a banana.

Because of its arc-like shape, I thought of a name that would convey that image.

Recently, I've wanted to add a few more English patterns, so after considering the English translation, I decided on "Arcsling."

A crocheted body bag that fits snugly against the body. This is the first new item for this spring.

I'm currently working on creating the knitting pattern, while also trying to update the template.

I think I'll go look for one more color of yarn.

[3/26] Crochet body bag

A croissant-shaped bag with short shoulder straps.

This body bag looks more stylish and compact when you put something inside.

Since it's knitted with sturdy cotton yarn, the fabric is thick enough to support the weight of a smartphone.

The slightly sporty design made me want to go for a walk in the pleasant spring weather, something I haven't done in a while.

The snow in the garden has mostly melted, and it looks like searching for new buds will become a daily routine for a while.

[3/25] The bag I started knitting took an unexpected turn.

This might be a rare case.

I started knitting the new bag with complete confidence.
When I actually started knitting, it turned out differently than I had imagined.

Although it deviated from my original goal, it unexpectedly came close to the shape I'd always wanted to knit.

I thought I understood the mechanics of bags to some extent, but my exploration is far from over.

It's been a while since I knitted this kind of shoulder strap.
This time, I added a pattern as a special touch.

I got tired of knitting at my usual table, so I went to the sofa by the window, and noticed the sunlight outside had become quite strong.

The season for bags that complement lighter clothing is almost here.

[3/12] Elegant Navy

かぎ針編みのある風景。テーブルにはかぎ針とハサミ、ヤーンボウル。編み物の原動力になるエレガントなネイビーのコットン糸。

That thread was there.
Sometimes, when I wake up in the morning, I suddenly remember a yarn I like, and that becomes the driving force behind my knitting.

In Sapporo, where craft stores are gradually disappearing, this long-established craft store is a place I always stop by whenever I go into the city.
Just the other day, my feet naturally led me there.

It's almost time for early summer yarns.
By this time of year, I no longer feel any reluctance to say goodbye to winter.

As expected, when the snow starts to melt, it's really time.
The feeling of liberation when you can finally do everything that you couldn't do because of the snow.

At times like these, when I see the summer yarns lined up in the craft store, my mind has already skipped over spring and is already imagining summer.

I realized that, without even thinking about it, I've been choosing bright colors during the spring and summer seasons.
That's because I've been captivated by the allure of navy since last autumn, and I still haven't gotten over it.

I'm planning to knit a summer bag this year using the most elegant navy cotton yarn I've ever seen, avoiding bright colors.
