[7/7] Knitting in progress: This summer's straw hat

2026.07.07 I started knitting a hat, albeit a little late.

This year, I intended to knit a hat starting in the spring, but it's already July.

I got this far knitting in a burst of enthusiasm the other day, but this year's straw hat has holes for threading a black ribbon through.

However, the lace yarn I bought for the black ribbon was a little too thick.
I thought, "Maybe it'll turn out pretty well if I keep knitting..." so I gave it a try.

I'm still a little self-conscious about being a bit overweight.
I'm starting to think a thinner string might suit it better than a black ribbon.

While I was feeling vaguely restless and unsettled, the month changed.

This is a new knitting technique with a slightly breathable feel, so I hope those who enjoy trying new things will give it a try.

I'll forget it's July and start working on a knitting pattern to calm myself down.
