July 29, 2026: The most relaxing and enjoyable phase
The new phase of the project is over, and now it's in full bloom.
Now that we've reached this point, there's a sense of relief knowing the finish line is in sight.
I had intended to leisurely enjoy this peaceful phase, but as soon as the next design I wanted to knit crossed my mind, I suddenly became impatient.
This is also because my goal of wanting a plain, new type of basic pattern was largely achieved once I finished knitting the yoke.
The garment I knitted before this, the "Stila Top," also had a plain shape.
The theme that will likely take up the rest of this year is to establish a basic framework that will serve as the foundation for future design developments.
As I thought about the basic form, designing the clothing started to feel like a puzzle.
Once all the parts are in place, it should be easier to bring the idea to life.
By then, my thoughts might be much more organized.
2026.07.06 Completely absorbed, I started knitting again.
I was so engrossed in knitting that I was speechless.
I didn't quite like the width of the neckline, so I unpicked it, then I didn't quite like the depth of the neckline, so I unpicked it again...
Why is it that when I want to knit something so badly, I become overly optimistic and think, "This should work"?
I should have thought about it more calmly before knitting.
It was a design I was really looking forward to bringing to life.
Now that it's finally taken shape, I feel satisfied and am writing columns and such.
There shouldn't be any more difficult parts, so I'll just quietly continue knitting until it's finished.
July 2, 2026: The yarn I bought last year is finally getting its chance to shine.
The moment I saw this yarn, I knew I had to knit with it.
You'll definitely want to wear this color.
I bought it last year and was happy with it, but I kept it in storage without deciding what to knit.
Its round, fluffy, and soft texture is exactly to my liking.
I felt that I liked it without being influenced by anyone or anything, so it's "my own unique taste."
Lately, I've been able to enjoy these kinds of illusions, even while being aware that they are illusions.
Many people love this kind of lovely yarn, don't they? I love it too.
This yarn will likely be used in projects that value the inherent beauty of each individual piece, without being constrained by specific characteristics.
We'll knit basic, classic garments in colors that you'll want to wear.
