This is a crocheted piece.
I tried crocheting a whole cake. It's a strawberry cake.
Pretend play toys are so cute and I want them, but I only have two brothers.
Although he's a boy, he actually enjoys playing house and can't quite give up...
At one point, I was obsessed with amigurumi, a type of play house, and made lots of side dishes for bento lunches and sweets.
Since Christmas is approaching, I decided to try making a cake.
Once it's finished, it's too good to be used for children's pretend play, as it's an adult cake.

Instructions
① Start knitting the base of the cake by casting on a loop.
In the first row, knit 6 stitches in a circular knit, and from the second row onwards, knit increasing stitches up to the 12th row as shown in the table below.
For the 13th row, pick up just one strand on the other side of the chain of knit stitches from the 12th row and make a single stitch.
| Number of steps | Increasing or decreasing the number of stitches |
| 38 to 48 | -6 |
| 19 to 37 | ±0 |
| 16 to 18 | ±0 (braided) |
| 14-15 | ±0 |
| 13 | ±0 (stitched knit) |
| 2 to 12 | +6 |
| 1 | 6 |
The strawberry pattern is knitted in rows 16 to 18. Please refer to the diagram below for the color change of the yarn (for reference, when three strawberry patterns are lined up, it will look like the pattern on the right).
The strawberry pattern consists of 6 stitches per pattern, resulting in 12 patterns in one lap.

Knit the same number of stitches from rows 19 to 37. From row 25 onwards, fold the knitted fabric inwards to the inside of the cake.
To keep the shape of the cake box (base) from collapsing, you can cut a rectangle of cardboard to match the height of the cake box, reduce the thickness, and place it inside the box (base) before closing it.
② Begin knitting the cake lid by casting on a loop.
In the first row, knit 6 square stitches.
From the second row onwardsCrochet PatternPlease check.
★The edge of the 13th row is the end of the previous row's knit stitch. One on the other sideJust scoop it up and knit it.
There are two places where "long braids" are mixed in, so please be careful.
Once the base of the lid is complete, attach the yarn and knit the popcorn pattern to resemble whipped cream.
At this point, bring the center of the lid base to the other side and the edge to the front, and start knitting by slip stitching in the appropriate places (see separate page "How to knit popcorn cream"reference).
Please think of the number of popcorn stitches as a guide only. Feel free to adjust it to your liking.
③Next, knit the strawberries for decoration. Start by making a loop and then knitting in a circular stitch.3 pointsI will knit.
Increase the number of stitches in rows 2 to 4, then knit the fifth row without increasing or decreasing the number of stitches, and decrease the number of stitches in row 6.
Strawberries are small, so if you leave the yarn long at the end of the knitting and cut it, you can put it inside the strawberry knitting and use it as a substitute for cotton.
| Number of steps | Increasing or decreasing the number of stitches |
| 6 | -3 |
| 5 | ±0 |
| 2 to 4 | +3 |
| 1 | 3 |
Knit enough strawberries to line the inside of the popcorn crochet on the cake lid.
I made 10 of them.
Once you have decided on the placement of the strawberries, sew them onto the cake lid. Here, I used white sewing thread so that the thread would not be noticeable even if it was sticking out on the back of the lid.
④The chocolate to be decorated in the center is rectangular, so I made it using a round knit stitch.
While checking the balance, cast on a chain until you reach the right length, then knit back and forth until you reach the desired height.
Simply embroider your favorite words, such as "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Birthday," onto the chocolate and decorate it to complete the gift.

Momiji's "Crochet Patissier's Small Cake Box"
I found out about this site when a friend shared it on Facebook, so I visited it and was captivated by the cute designs, so I immediately tried making one.
I've noticed that there are many more creative aspects to the second film than the first.
The strawberry pattern on the base of the cake didn't turn out well the first time, so I tried making it streaks for the second.
I knitted it with medium weight yarn so it came out nice and crisp.
This is my third attempt at making a chocolate cake, arranging the strawberry decorations.
I would like to continue making various things, so I hope you will continue to support me.

The recipe photo was so cute that I wanted to try making it, so I bought all the yarn colors I could find. I love the strawberry braids on the side and the whipped cream in the popcorn braids. My kindergarten-aged daughter was thrilled with it.
