This is a crocheted piece.
Hydrangeas are beautiful and picturesque flowers. I imagine them blooming in the rainy season or in the shade.
I tried to make such a hydrangea using crochet.
This knitting requires only a small amount of yarn, so if you have any leftover yarn that evokes the image of hydrangeas, why not give it a try?
It can be used as a small corsage or as a decoration for your bag, making it a great accent piece.

Instructions
Please also check the knitting pattern for instructions on how to make it.
This was knitted using two strands of fine linen yarn.
① To make the petals, start by casting on a loop, then crochet 8 stitches in the first row.
For the second row, start with 3 chain stitches and crochet 2 double crochets in the first double crochet stitch of the previous row. In the second double crochet, crochet a picot with 3 chain stitches.
In the next knit stitch in the previous row, crochet two double crochets, then crochet three chain stitches, then crochet through the knit in the same place where you just crocheted the double crochets.
Attach the chain, make a slip stitch in the stitch next to it in the previous row, and then crochet three chain stitches from there. In the same place where you made a slip stitch earlier, crochet two double crochets. Again, crochet a picot in the second double crochet.
Once you have completed one full turn in the same manner, cut the thread.
For the petals, knit three identical pieces.
② Knit the base to which you will sew the three petals.
Start by casting on a loop, then crochet 6 stitches in the first row.
In the third row, the knitting stitches you make at the chain points of the previous row are made by gathering the chain into a bunch. These are the three places indicated by the stars in the knitting pattern, so when you sew the petals in place, use these as landmarks and sew while checking the balance.
③Next, weave the hydrangea leaves.
Start by casting on 16 chain stitches, then knit a leaf shape using double crochets, double crochets and double crochets as shown in the pattern.
At this time, for the first half, you will knit by scooping up the back of the chain you created.
After working five slip stitches at the stem, crochet one chain stitch and then crochet the second half of the other side, turning back the chain you cast on. Here, you will crochet one stitch on the other side of the chain you didn't cast on in the first half.
One strand of thread from the chain of the cast-on stitches remains un-caught, creating the appearance of a streak in the knitted fabric.
Once you have completed one round, insert the needle into the space between the first chain stitches (see knitting pattern) and pull it out to cut the yarn.
Sew the leaves wherever you like.
