Free Crochet Pattern "Santa Boots" | Knitting Patterns for Enjoying Winter

This is a crocheted piece.

I tried crocheting some boots as one of my Christmas items.

When I was little, I remember loving the little boots full of sweets they sold in supermarkets and wanting them whenever I found one.
Have you ever seen those little boots with a mesh drawstring bag on top, usually next to a cash register?
I still love those candy boots and I think I would buy them if they were still on sale.

I had tried to knit boots like these a long time ago, but this time I tried knitting a slightly smaller size.
It was quite difficult to get this round toe, and I had to redo it a few times before I finally got it to the shape I like.

It's the perfect size to decorate a tree, so it would make a great ornament.
Just having one or two in your room will really get you in the Christmas spirit!

This is knitted with 100% wool medium-fine yarn.
It would be fun to knit different colors, and it would also look cute if you added ribbons or pompoms.

Instructions

Please also check the knitting pattern along with the instructions on how to make it.

① Using red yarn, make a chain of 5 stitches and begin knitting.
Rows 1 to 14 are knitted with red yarn.
For the first row of knit stitches, on one side you pick up the chain on the other side of the cast-on chain and the back knot, and on the other side you pick up the remaining chain from the cast-on chain that you didn't pick up earlier and knit.

②For the second and third rows, increase the number of stitches along the way, and for the fourth row, knit without increasing or decreasing the number of stitches.

③For rows 5 to 8, increase and decrease stitches on the toe side.
Please note that there will be increases and decreases in the beginning of knitting (heel side) in rows 9 and 10.

④ Rows 11 to 14 are knitted in knit stitch without increasing or decreasing the number of stitches.

⑤When making the last slip stitch in the 14th row, switch to the white thread and pull it through, then cut the red thread.
For the 15th row, use white yarn and crochet the entire double crochet without increasing or decreasing the number of stitches.
Once you have completed the 15th row, cut the yarn.

⑥If you want to make it into an ornament, attach a string to it as you like.

The small slippers pictured to the left of the Santa boots are knitted using the same method as this recipe.
I used the same medium-fine yarn "British Fine" as the Santa boots and cast on two stitches.

This recipe does not include instructions on how to make miniature pieces, but once you get used to knitting a practical size with thick yarn, you will probably be able to imagine how to apply it to miniature pieces!
