Knitting + Crochet Workshop

Even though we are the organizers, we are excited to announce this event.
I am very honored to be joining my idol teacher, Michiyo, in Sapporo to hold a "Michiyo & Ronique Two-Person Workshop"!

*Updated 6/15 → One more time slot has been added due to full capacity!
The additional kit color will be black.

They each have prepared new works for this occasion.

Michiyo's new work is the "Bumpy Bag"!
The yarn is strong, but the knitted fabric feels soft to the touch, making for a very cute piece.
This bag also has a lovely profile.
The round shape and stylish details are sure to make your heart skip a beat.

I knitted a beaded sheep brooch that looks like it's sitting on Michiyo's bag.
This piece is knitted using fluffy wool and matte beads, and the face has a three-dimensional look.
You will need to change the color of the yarn, but you can knit the entire piece in one go.

The event will be held at Atelier Amies.
Located on the second floor of Mominoki SO in Maruyama, this is a must-see knitting studio for knitting enthusiasts (next door is presse, which has a wide selection of lovely Scandinavian yarns).

Applications for this event will open on Saturday, June 15th.

This is a rare opportunity to knit with Michiyo Sensei in Sapporo, so if you're interested, be sure to check it out.
This is a dream come true and a memorable event for me, so I'm looking forward to spending a wonderful time with everyone!

Ever since I started crocheting...

Here's a personal aside.

When I first started crocheting, I looked at a ton of knitting books, but the ones that really caught my eye were all of Michiyo's designs (and still do!).
I have always admired Michiyo-sensei since then, and have even had the opportunity to visit his club activities in Tokyo and Sapporo.

I was honored to be asked to take the collaborative photos for this event, and I was able to get my hands on Michiyo's new bag before everyone else...
The moment I touched it, I couldn't believe that Michiyo's work had ended up in my hands like this! Memories came flooding back to me like a slideshow, and for a moment I was engulfed in a wave of emotion.

I look forward to knitting with all the knitting enthusiasts in Sapporo on the day!
