2017.02.07 Daimaru Sapporo store "Knitters Tool Tote" WS

大丸札幌店「ニッターズツールトート」WS

Another workshop at the Daimaru Sapporo store's "Fabric Market for Daily Life" is this: the "Knitter's Tool Tote" with a woven pocket.
In this workshop, you will receive a finished bag and then create a crocheted pocket.

As this workshop was about using fabric, the first thing that came to mind was cottonwork, a company that produces very high quality sewing projects.
Cottonwork is a popular artist who I have had the pleasure of working with when I set up a booth at an event called "Four-person Exhibition," and whose works are also sold on consignment in fashionable shops all over the country.
Once you pick up a piece, you will immediately notice the attention to detail and the careful selection of fabrics.

The bag for this workshop is a proud item made by cottonwork!
This is a very luxurious bag made from thick Lithuanian linen.
The bag has a leather accent on the side, the lining is lovely, and even the handles are beautiful.

In fact, I (a former sewing freak) tried to make a bag almost identical to this one as a sample, but it took a lot of time and I realized how difficult it is!!

Now, why not try crocheting a slightly more elaborate pocket to add to this lovely bag?
Make your own tool tote using yarn that complements the bag perfectly.
Please see below for details.

・Contents Knit a woven pocket and sew it onto the finished bag.
When applying, please choose the color of your bag (A-C).
You can choose the color of the pocket on the day.
・Time required: 3 hours
・Items to bring: Size 7 crochet hook (if your hands are loose or tight, you can also use a size 1 crochet hook for both sides),
Sewing needles, sewing needles, scissors (available for loan upon request)
・Skills: Basic crochet skills

To apply, please contact Daimaru Sapporo store.

2017.02.07 Daimaru Sapporo store "Taper pin case" WS

大丸札幌店「とじ針ケース」WS

We will be holding two types of workshops at the Daimaru Sapporo store's "Living Fabric Market."
The event will run from Wednesday, February 15th to Monday, February 20th.

Both of my workshops will be held on Wednesday, February 15th.
The first one is making a "stitching needle case."
The needle case on the right uses linen thread, and the one on the left uses Lithuanian wool thread.
The one on the right is a knitted piece that is easy to knit even for beginners, and the one on the left is a bumpy, varied knitted piece.

This time, since it is a fabric fair, the workshop will use fabric (felt in this case).
The felt part will be completed and handed over to you, so this workshop will mainly focus on crocheting (please be careful not to make a mistake). We will also use a little embroidery thread to do some stitching.

Please check the details below.

・Contents Make a knitting needle case.
Knit the outer fabric and stitch the finished felt case.
Sew onto knitted fabric.
When applying, please choose one from A-1 to 3 or B-1 to 2.
・Duration: 2.5 hours
・Items to bring: Size 5 crochet hook (if your hands are loose or tight, you can also use a size 1 crochet hook for both sides),
Sewing needles, embroidery needles, scissors (can be rented upon request)
・Skill A: Those who can knit in knitting patterns
B is OK for first-timers

To apply, please contact Daimaru Sapporo store.

2016.01.21 Announcement of the "Crochet Semi-Original Bag Making" course at Vogue Gakuen Sapporo

ヴォーグ学園札幌校 「かぎ針編みのセミ・オリジナルバッグづくり」講座のお知らせ

Starting in spring 2016, I will be teaching at Vogue Gakuen Sapporo.
We are now accepting applications for courses starting in April 2017.
If you live near Sapporo and are interested, I would be happy if you would come and take a look at how I make bags.

You may be wondering what kind of course it is, so I will provide a brief explanation as a supplement to the Vogue Gakuen Sapporo School website information.

[Examples of works]

First, let me introduce you to the types of works you can create.

[About course dates, times, and fees]

For more details, please check out the Vogue Gakuen Sapporo School website.

【What kind of course is this?】

To be precise, I knit pouches and bags.
We will start with a pouch to give you a feel for semi-original knitting, and then we will move on to knitting a bag.
The sample above is meant to help you get an idea of what kind of bag you would like to knit.

Of course, you can knit the same thing as the sample, but I think the plus point of this course is that it helps you to arrange it in your own way and give shape to the image you have in mind.
In order to knit something that is the same as an existing work, there is a specific knitting method that needs to be followed, but I don't have any rules that say it has to be knitted in a certain way.

It's fine to say that you want to create an "original work," but we thought that sometimes it might be difficult to suddenly create something original, so we have prepared a few variations and asked you to use whatever you can, which is what we call "semi-original."

This is my first time teaching a course like this, so I'm sure there will be some shortcomings, but rather than being a lecturer, I'll take the stance of being a member of the team thinking together with you, and I'll do my best to think hard to help you complete the bag you have in mind.

2015.11.03 11/4 "Suki Fes" in Tsukisamu Green Dome

11/4「スキフェス」in月寒グリーンドーム

Hello.
Thank you very much to everyone who came to the Sapporo Tokyu event the other day and for your kind words.
I already thanked you on Instagram and Facebook page when the project ended, but I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude once again on this blog.

And, although it's only a short time away, we will be setting up a stall at another event tomorrow.
This time, I will be participating in a four-person exhibition with friends who are artists of basket weaving, preserved flowers, and cloth accessories.

We wanted to bring something a little different to the last event, so we created fan items like the ones pictured.
I hope there are some knitting fans out there who will enjoy it.
This keychain contains a mini ball of linen yarn, a mini skein, a bobbin, a mini skein of wool yarn, a mini card with a catchphrase (Ronique's name is not included), and more.
There are many different color combinations available, so please choose the one that best suits you.

Sukifes is always popular, and this year will be no different, with many wonderful antique shops and artists setting up booths, so if you have time, be sure to stop by.
I'll be looking forward to seeing you at the four-person exhibition booth!

2015.10.02 Sapporo Tokyu "Sock Blocker Keychain" Workshop

さっぽろ東急「ソックブロッカー キーホルダー」ワークショップ

Two types of workshops will be held at the event "Bon Marche: Making Things with Sheep" held at the event space on the 9th floor of Sapporo Tokyu Department Store.

The second is the "Sock Blocker Keychain" club.
Knit two socks in different colors to match the small sock blockers.
We hope you will enjoy using the finished socks in a variety of ways, such as dressing them up as sock blockers or using them as winter ornaments.

Participants must be able to knit.
We have set these conditions with the goal of completing one piece within the time limit, but if you are a first-timer and would like to complete any incomplete parts yourself within the time limit, please feel free to contact us.
The loop stitch of knitting knitting is highly versatile and seems easy to do, but in fact there are some aspects that make it a little difficult to understand.
Please take this opportunity to clarify this and use it in the future.

The material is British Shetland wool yarn.
The yarn is neither too thin nor too thick, and has a lovely texture. The subtle tones of the colors are also appealing.
Some of the colours may be different from the sample images shown here.
We would like to offer a variety of Lithuanian wool yarns, so please come and take a look at the yarns on the day and choose your color.
I look forward to knitting with you this fall!

2015.10.02 Sapporo Tokyu "Garland Necklace" Workshop

さっぽろ東急「ガーランドネックレス」ワークショップ

Two types of workshops are planned for the event "Sheep and Manufacturing Bon Marché" held at the 9th floor event space of Sapporo Tokyu Department Store.
The first one is the "Crochet Garland Necklace" event.

Knit a double-strand necklace using two colors of yarn.
We have come up with some easy-to-crochet recipes so that even those who are trying crocheting for the first time can take advantage of this opportunity to give it a try.
The material is wool cotton yarn.
I was looking for a yarn that was available in a wide range of colors, wasn't itchy, and felt nice against the skin, and I chose Holst Garn [Coast] yarn from Denmark.

There are five color options.
We have samples of all colors available, so please come and see them in person and choose the one that best suits you.
I look forward to knitting with you this fall!

2015.10.02 We will be exhibiting at Sapporo Tokyu's "Sheep and Manufacturing Bon Marche"!

Announcement of event stall.
Ronique will also be setting up a stall at the "Sheep and Manufacturing Bon Marché" event, which will be held on the 9th floor event space of Sapporo Tokyu Department Store.

The period is from October 25th (Sun) to October 28th (Wed) *Closed at 4pm on the last day
At this event,
・New recipes and kits
・Lithuanian linen yarn
・Antiques that would go well with handicrafts, their materials, and tools
I plan to bring the following:

We are also planning our first workshop, details of which will be announced here later.
If you have time during this period, please come and visit us!
We look forward to seeing you all at the venue.

This event is being hosted by Komiyamaya, a handicraft store familiar to Sapporo residents.
This is a craft store that I've always loved, and I've been going there with friends since high school.
I visited the store for a long time, searching for USA cotton and scraps.
I really like Komiyamaya's sense.

My friend and I once had a great laugh making a frog mascot out of shiny silver cloth, with the mascot in a stretched pose.
She's an old friend of mine who loves crafts. She's now an embroidery artist.

Around that time, I saw a piece of fabric at Komiyamaya that I liked at first sight. It was too luxurious for a high school student to use for sewing, but my mother bought it for me along with the pattern, and I used it to make a dress.
And then, for some reason, she ended up playing the role of Wakame-chan at her high school festival and wore that dress (lol).

Anyway, it was my favorite fabric, so I couldn't bring myself to throw away the scraps and kept them.
I found it just recently and was surprised to see the word "LIBERTY"!
I never knew the first fabric I fell in love with at first sight was Liberty print.
The atmosphere was completely different from the image of Tana Lawn.

I have been away from Sapporo for a while, so it is a very emotional experience for me to be back in Sapporo and to be able to set up a stall at an event hosted by Komiyamaya.

Wonderful shops and creators will be setting up booths at the event, and as the name suggests, there will be a row of booths selling wool felt, yarn spinning, weaving, knitting, and more, so if you are someone who makes things by hand or enjoys handmade items, be sure to check it out.

We will let you know more about the workshop later!
Thank you very much for your cooperation.

2012.07.21 Paid knitting pattern apology and correction

The following corrections have been made to the paid knitting pattern. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.

2012.07.21
[My first dress-up cardigan]
The "attach thread" mark on the upper left shoulder of the back was missing.
-Page 2- On the right, the note about the armhole says "right sleeve" instead of "left sleeve."

2012.11.08
[Crochet Azuma Bag]
The symbol for the end of the 16th row of the motif was different between the knitting pattern for the motif itself and the knitting pattern for the handle (see image on the right).
Please knit the main body according to the symbols shown, and you can knit the handle either according to the symbols or like the main body.
Also, as you knit the motif until it becomes larger, the center may bulge slightly, but once it is made into an Azuma bag, it will have a natural shape.

2012.12.04
[My first dress-up cardigan]
-Page 2- In the knitting pattern for the left and right sleeves below, the starting stitch in rows 2 to 20 (see the red circle in the diagram on the right) is marked with 1 double crochet, not 3 chain stitches. The correct symbol is "3 chain stitches."

2013.06.16
[Plenty of round-bottom bag]
There were some errors in the chart for the number of double crochet stitches for the bottom of the bag.
It said "1st row: 18", but the correct number is "1st row: 16".

2013.09.13
[Shawls and gilets]
The text states that the number of cast-on stitches for the body is 121 stitches for each of the left and right front body pieces and 137 stitches for the back body piece, but the number of stitches listed in the knitting pattern was insufficient.
The number of stitches shown in text will be the correct number of stitches.
Please refer to the diagram below for the specific errors in the knitting pattern.
