【self-introduction】

Nice to meet you, I'm Rico.
I started knitting as a child, learning from my mother. She mainly taught me how to knit with knitting needles and also taught me a little bit about lace. I've been knitting with knitting needles ever since, but a few years ago I suddenly decided to take up crocheting. Now I knit something almost every day, mainly with a crochet hook, and I'm really enjoying my knitting life.
My goal is to one day be able to create wonderful original works like Ronique's. I'm working hard every day to achieve that goal, enjoying new discoveries and a sense of accomplishment every day.

I have written about it on my blog.
Please come and visit us.

[Tell us your favorite tools!]

First and foremost, Amure's crochet hooks (sizes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10) and Etimo's lace needles (sizes 0, 2, 4, 6, 8).
These are the needles I decided to buy after I started knitting every day.
For some reason, the Amure set does not include a size 9 needle, but by chance I already had a size 9 needle with a Tulip grip.
All of them have grips, so the knitting experience is completely different.
Discovering this tool has really doubled the joy of knitting.

[Tell us your favorite yarns and colors!]

I think my favorite yarns are summer yarns like cotton and linen.
I also love lace, and doilies and motifs are something I find myself wanting to knit regularly.
I love the delicate thin threads.
My favorite colors are off-white and natural shades.
I also love grey and navy.

What do you like to knit?

I love anything that involves knitting (lol).
But if I had to choose, it might be a lace doily.
I find myself wanting to knit between projects. Also, when I find something with a nice pattern ♪
Another attractive feature is that it is easy to knit unless it is very large.

How do you store your yarn?

It's only in the last year or so that I've started knitting every day like this.
So, I don't actually have much yarn in stock.
Basically, I can't buy yarn until I've decided what I want to knit, so I just buy the amount I need to knit and use it up.
Still, there are three or four types of things that I definitely want to knit that season, so I probably have about 20 balls of yarn.
They are classified into summer yarn, winter yarn, acrylic yarn, lace yarn, and hemp string.
I keep seasonal items and frequently used lace threads in a drawer-style storage case so that they are easy to access.
Store off-season items in cardboard boxes along with insect repellent in the storage closet.
When the time comes, I'll replace it.

I collect small balls of yarn in empty candy boxes.
I use it to make mini motifs and doilies, and when making prototypes of original products.
But it would be ideal if you could create a stylish way to store things in plain sight.

I also participated in an event where I used leftover yarn to knit a granny square motif and sent it to a volunteer to be used.
I realized that even leftover thread can be useful to people in this way.

[What do you want to knit and what are your goals?]

From now on, I would like to try various knitting techniques other than crocheting. There are so many to choose from, such as knitting needles, tatting, hairpin lace, etc. (lol)
I would like to be able to make original things with a crochet hook. I would also like to try knitting small things. Something like a sewing thread that is thinner than lace thread No. 40.
Anyway, there are so many things I want to try and knit!!
