Crocheted ribbon as a hair tie
I made a knotted crochet ribbon using neon colored acrylic yarn.
It's a thick thread so it's quick to complete.
If you knit with a slightly stiffer yarn, you will get a thicker and sturdier ribbon.
Although it is a small ribbon, its vibrant color makes it an eye-catching accent.
Even if you find yourself in a crowded place and wonder, "Where is my child?", you might be able to find them with the ribbon!
If you knit it with a thinner yarn, you could even attach it to a hairpin.
You can also use it as a decoration for wrapping.
Ribbons are easy to knit, so it would be fun to try knitting them with different yarns depending on the purpose.

How to make a knotted ribbon hair tie
Please refer to the crochet pattern along with these instructions.
①Cast on 10 chain stitches and begin knitting.
On one side, pick up the other strand of the chain and the back of it and weave, and on the other side, pick up the remaining strand and weave.
Once you have completed one row, pull the yarn through the first stitch and cut it.
② Knit 15 stitches of thread cord.
Cut the thread leaving the end a little long, but do not process it yet.
Use this to tie the center knot in the ribbon.
「How to knit thread cord" page, so please refer to it if you are a first-time user.
③ Prepare a hair tie that is about 15 to 20 cm long.
④ Place ① with the knitted fabric facing outwards and place the hair tie ③ underneath.
Place the thread cord vertically under the hair tie and wrap it around the center of the ribbon, tying it once.
At this time, tie the knitted fabric ① tightly so that the center is gathered together.
Bring both ends of the thread cord to the back of the knitted fabric and sew the ends together firmly when finishing the thread.
