Neon crocheted coin purse
I crocheted a square coin case with a nested structure.
It is designed so that a small square can be slid into a larger, bag-shaped square.
Since no fasteners are used, it is recommended to knit with a slightly stiff, sturdy thick yarn.
You could use it as a pouch to store your children's pocket money or small treasures.
For the sample piece, I used acrylic yarn in pop neon colors.
The fluorescent colors are exciting to look at. If you're not sure what to do with them, why not try playing around with these accessories?
There are many fluorescent yarns available, but the yarn I used this time, called Daruma's J Colors, has a bright color like a highlighter. I saw it at a craft store and thought, "Give it a try!" so I bought it.
It's a sturdy thread, so it feels quite thick.
I think the impression will change considerably if you knit it in a chic color.
It can be opened and closed quickly, so if you knit it with slightly thinner yarn, it could be used as an earphone case or a pouch for adults.
Have fun with it in various ways, depending on your ideas for how you want to use it.
This is a simple piece that uses a square knitting motif, so it's perfect for changing your mood in your spare time!

How to make a square coin case
Please refer to the crochet pattern along with these instructions.
① Knit the motifs in the order A→B→C→D.
The motifs in the knitting pattern are arranged in the direction they will be when the pieces are put together, so please change the direction to make it easier to see when knitting.
Instructions on how to sew the parts together are on page 2 of the knitting pattern PDF file.
②Start knitting all motifs by casting on a loop.
Increase the stitches at the four corners in each row, working motifs A and B up to row 4, and C and D up to row 5.
The subsequent knitting steps will be explained separately below.
[Motif A]
Once you have completed the fourth row, for the fifth row (gusset), pick up just one stitch on the other side of the stitch from the previous row and work a ruffle stitch. At this time, pick up just one chain on the other side of the corner from the previous row.
Once you have completed the fifth row, cut the yarn.
[Motif B]
After finishing the fourth row, combine motif A andOuter surfaceLayer the knitted fabric over the top.
To see how to layer the motifs, please refer to the positions of the ★ marks on pages 1 and 2 of the knitting pattern.
Once the motifs are layered, pick up the stitches between the final layers, pull them out and peel them off.
When doing this, when the stitches in the final row are joined together, pick up the half stitches that are on the inside and pull them out.
[Motif C]
Once you have knitted up to row 5, for row 6 (the gusset), pick up just one stitch on the other side of the previous row and knit a ruffle. When doing this, skip the stitches from the corner chain of the previous row without picking up any stitches.
Once you have completed the sixth row, cut the yarn.
[Motif D]
After finishing the 5th row, for the 6th row (gusset), pick up just one stitch on the other side of the previous row and work a single stitch. As with motif C, skip the chain at the corner of the previous row without picking up any stitches.
Next, motif C and knittingMiddle tableStack the pieces together, pick up the stitches between the last layers, and pull them out.
When doing this, pick up each half stitch on the inside and pull it out to remove it.
Once you have finished the slip stitching, turn the knitted fabric right side out and cut the yarn, leaving the ends long.
Using this thread, sew together one side of motif A and one side of motif D marked with a star.
