Free Crochet Pattern: Spider Web and Ghost | Autumn Selection

This is a crocheted piece.

As Halloween is approaching, I crocheted a spider web motif and a small ghost.
How about wearing this when you want to get into the Halloween mood?

You can knit it with just a little bit of thin yarn, so it looks like you can complete it with some leftover yarn and some spare time.

You can also add it to Halloween candy wrappers to create a special atmosphere.

The spider web motif is sized so that it could be pasted onto felt and used as a coaster.
This is a recipe that involves using a floating steam iron after knitting to set the shape and finish the piece.

Emmy Grande Colors [Col. 801] White...Spider Web 1.3g, Ghost 3g
Emmy Grande Colors [Col. 901] Black...Ghost Eyes (small amount)
Lace needle No. 2 (1.5 mm)

Finished Size

Spider web motif 9cm long x 8cm wide
Mini ghost: 3.5 cm long, 4.5 cm wide

Instructions

Please refer to the crochet pattern along with these instructions.

[Spider web motif]

① Start knitting by casting on a loop.
In the first row, knit one chain stitch between each of the six regular stitches.
In the second row, crochet 3 chain stitches between each of the 6 double crochets.
In the third row, crochet 6 chain stitches between each of the 6 double crochets.
In the fourth row, knit 10 chain stitches between each of the 6 double stitches.
In the fifth row, crochet 15 chain stitches between each of the six double crochets.

②If you want to hang it like an ornament, leave the end of the yarn long and cut it.

③When you finish knitting, the motif will be round, so pin it to make it hexagonal and use a steam iron to shape it.

[Mini Ghost]

① Start knitting by casting on a loop.
Knit up to the 15th row by alternating between rows where you increase the number of stitches and rows where you do not increase or decrease the number of stitches, then knit rows 16 to 18 while increasing stitches irregularly.
Once you have completed the 18th row, cut the yarn.

② Embroider the eyes as desired and it's finished.
