This is a crocheted piece.
This is a crocheted Mont Blanc made by remaking a small basket.
For the yellow lid, I used some washi thread I had at home. It becomes strong when you weave it round and round, so I think any thread thicker than medium should be fine.
It can be difficult to find baskets of the same size, but for this recipe, I recommend using the dark brown muffin cups that fit over the baskets.
Even if you remove the basket and just use this cup, it makes a great storage space for small items.
Since it is square, you can line up two or three of them or put buttons or accessories in it.

Instructions
①The yellow Mont Blanc lid is knitted using medium-weight yellow yarn.
Start by casting on a loop, then crochet 6 stitches in the first row.
From the second row onwards, work all stitches in single stitch. Continue knitting while increasing or decreasing the number of stitches as shown in the table below.
| Number of steps | Increasing or decreasing the number of stitches |
| 15 | -6 |
| 14 | ±0 |
| 13 | +6 |
| 11-12 | ±0 |
| 2 to 10 | +6 |
| 1 | 6 |
② Once you have knitted the lid up to the 15th row, attach the yarn to the beginning of the knitting on the front side (top), pick up the single weft thread that is visible in the streak stitch, and knit through it.
At this point, the very top of the knitted piece will be hidden by the chestnut stitch, so start slip stitching from the third row, and at the point where the row changes (starts up), move the needle diagonally downwards to move to the next row.
③The chestnut is knitted with yellow medium-fine yarn.
Start by casting on a loop, then work 6 quarter stitches in the first row. From then on, increase or decrease the number of stitches as shown in the table below.
Thread the thread through the top of the stitch on the last row, align it so that the chestnut shape is flat, and sew it over. Sew this to the top of the lid.
| Number of steps | Increasing or decreasing the number of stitches |
| 10-11 | -6 |
| 5 to 9 | ±0 |
| 2 to 4 | +6 |
| 1 | 6 |
④ Knit the muffin cups using brown medium-weight yarn.Crochet PatternPlease check.
Start by casting on a loop, then work double crochets and chains to create a square at the bottom of the cup. Work the same number of stitches in rows 4 to 6, and crochet the edge in row 7.
Once you have finished knitting the cup, knit 25 chain stitches in the gold yarn, then continue knitting a slip stitch in the 6th double crochet row.
⑤ Pull out the stitches in the 6th row and go all the way around, then knit another chain with 25 stitches and cut the yarn. Pass the end of the yarn through the back of the chain and finish it off.
Tie two of these 25-stitch chains together into a ribbon and you're done.
