This is a crocheted piece.
When you start to feel the sun, you'll want a hat.
I tried crocheting a summer hat, a classic crochet item.
I wish I could go to the resort, but in reality I have to take the bus to and from kindergarten.
In such situations, wide-brimmed hats feel a bit awkward to wear, so they don't come out.
So I decided to make a small, narrow-brimmed, shallow hat suitable for everyday use in town.
Knitted with Manila hemp yarn.
The theme of this hat is that it can be arranged in many different ways.
You can wrap lace or bias tape around it, or change the shape of the hat.
You can also add a braid made from lace thread or a corsage.
Yarn and Crochet Hook Size
Four medium-weight Manila hemp threads (20g balls, approximately 50m)
Size 4/6 crochet hook (size 6 for the hat, size 4 for the decorative string)
Finished Size
Head circumference: about 54cm
Total weight: 70g

Instructions
①Start knitting from the top and the entire knitted fabric is knitted in knit stitches.
At the beginning of knitting, cast on 6 stitches to create a loop, and then increase the number of stitches as shown in the table below.
IKnitting pattern (circle)I like patterns like this, so I knitted it in this manner.
| part | Number of steps | Increasing or decreasing the number of stitches |
| Brim | 40-42 | ±0 |
| 33 to 39 | +6 | |
| side | 31-32 | ±0 |
| 30 | +6 | |
| 16 to 29 | ±0 | |
| top | 15 | +6 |
| 14 | ±0 | |
| 2 to 13 | +6 | |
| 1 | 6 |
②This hat is a little shallow, so when adjusting the depth, try changing the number of rows you knit in the section on the side where the number of stitches does not increase or decrease, rows 16 to 29.
③Once you have finished knitting the hat, knit the decorative string.
Knit 200 stitches into a chain, and then pass both ends of the thread through the back of the chain to finish the thread.
④ Tie the string around the hat and it's done. Feel free to decorate it however you like.

"Small raffia-style hat" by chamekogu
I made it a little smaller for a child! It was my first time knitting a hat, but the recipe was very easy to follow, so I managed to make a hat (^^)v
Since it's for boys, instead of a ribbon string, I added decorative bear buttons to the side!!
My child likes it and wears it too ♪ Thank you ☆

Thank you for a wonderful recipe!!
This was my first attempt at making a hat, and I knitted it for my 10-year-old daughter. I had to adjust the eyes a little while putting it on her head, but it turned out well. She loved it and it's been a hit all summer.
My friend's mother also asked me for the knitting pattern!

It was made for summer.
I added a black ribbon as an accent, giving it a girly feel.

I couldn't find any size 5 needles so I used size 6 needles, which means it's a little far from the "compact" concept... but it's great for going out ♪
