A simple, easy-to-use crochet bag of just the right size.
This crocheted bag is perfect for taking along when you're just heading out to the neighborhood.
I aimed for a size that's neither too big nor too small, and a simple design.
It can hold everyday items such as a wallet, cell phone, digital camera, handkerchief, and tissues.
The knitted fabric does not stretch much, so if you use strong yarn, it will be fine even if the contents are a little heavy.
Since we don't have to worry about it losing its shape, it's been quite useful in our household.
I added a leather tag as a little accent.
Feel free to add decorations or hang charms to enjoy using it in different ways.

① Start knitting from the bottom of the bag by casting on a loop. Increasing stitches with each row, knit in a circular motion.
Increase 6 stitches each row up to the 18th row. The 18th row will have 108 stitches in one round.

② Once you have finished knitting the bottom up to the 18th row, continue knitting the pattern on the side.
For the pattern, knit up to 28 rows without increasing or decreasing the number of stitches.
After that, knit five rows of knit stitches at the opening of the bag, and the main body is complete.
③Next, knit the handle.
To make the handle, chain 3 stitches and work back and forth in a knit crochet until you reach row 40. Continuing with that yarn, work a border around the entire piece using a knit crochet.
4. Using the knitting pattern as a reference, sew the handles to the bag body and it's finished.
