This is a crocheted piece.
I crocheted a scrunchie with a slightly light feel.
Mornings are always hectic. Making lunch boxes, having breakfast, rushing to take the child to the kindergarten bus stop...
My appearance is secondary, especially my hair, which I always just tie up carelessly.
But I thought it would be nice to add a little decoration, so I came up with the idea of a super simple scrunchie.
This scrunchie can be made using only double crochet and chain stitches.
The image is of bias-effect ruffles like those found on blouses.
The easiest way is to thread the elastic through and tie it after you've finished knitting (beige). The other way is to wrap the elastic around the loop while knitting (purple).

Yarn and Crochet Hook Size
Medium-fine cotton thread

Instructions
Please also check the knitting pattern for instructions on how to make it.
① Start knitting by casting on the chain, and when you have made 120 stitches, pull through to the first stitch to make a loop. For the first double crochet, pick up one stitch on the other side of the cast-on chain and the back crochet. After you have knit one round, check that you have 120 stitches.
②The purple scrunchie was made by wrapping the rubber band around it. The beige scrunchie had the rubber band threaded through it after it was finished. From here, I will explain the differences in how the two scrunchies are made.
For the purple scrunchie, crochet once around in the second row, then crochet around the elastic when working in a grid pattern in the third row.
When doing this, knit the first double crochet in front of the elastic, then knit the next double crochet on the other side of the elastic, so that the double crochets alternate in front of and behind the elastic.
The yarn used for the beige scrunchie was a little thin, so I added one more double stitch on each side of the elastic, making three rows each.
After the scrunchie fabric is completed, the elastic is threaded through the grid squares, stitching alternately.
Both are simple knits made using only double stitches, so I think it would be fun to add variety by knitting picots with edge stitches.

There are many different scrunchie recipes out there, but I've never seen a design like this! I started knitting right away...it's gorgeous with yarn that contains sequins!

This was my first attempt at making accessories, but the knitting pattern was easy to make, so I was able to complete it successfully!
Instead of two rows of double knitting, I made it five rows to add volume.
