When you think of Hokkaido, you think of dairy products.
There are plenty of affordable sweets to choose from, such as cheesecake and soufflé, that make great souvenirs.
I've tried a few and I have no complaints about any of them, but they all have similar textures and flavors, so many of them don't leave much of an impression on me.
Among them, this is something that made me think, "This is different!"
Many people may already know about the popular candy "Akai Silo" (Seigetsu Co., Ltd.), which became famous through curling.
It seems to be popular at New Chitose Airport and sells out quickly, but you can also purchase it online.
They're so delicious that if you don't have reason, you might end up eating two or three.
The sweetness is not too strong, and the aftertaste when you finish eating it is so good you will be sad to part with it.
I wondered how they could create such a flavor, so I looked at the ingredients, but it didn't taste anything special, so it was a mystery to me.
It's delicious and the packaging is cute.
It's the perfect small souvenir.
As for today's crochet project, I've just started a new project using a wallet-friendly yarn I recently discovered called "City Melange Medium Weight."
It feels a bit like a British Eroica (although the thickness is different), and the melange effect is nice.
I liked the grey and beige colours so I bought a bunch.
I'm knitting a winter bag using the soft beige yarn, which is similar to oatmeal.
As a trial, I decided to try a little trick to prevent it from stretching.
Continuing the beige theme, today's dessert accompaniment is a roasted green tea latte made with roasted green tea from Yakushima.
This is also a sweet and delicious roasted green tea that sells out quickly, so I make sure to buy in bulk.
Knitting in the daylight is so comfortable.
