Crochet Symbol Guide: Treble crochet two together (tr2tog)

Here we explain how to crochet two long stitches at once using video and still images.

When decreasing a stitch with a double crochet, you knit several unfinished double crochets and complete them all at once. How far up do you knit the unfinished double crochets? You should knit just before the point where you can wrap the yarn around it again and pull it through to finish!
As the number of unfinished long stitches increases, so do three stitches once, four stitches once, and so on, creating a steeper decrease. You may have seen this type of stitch in patterned knitting.
