This is a crocheted piece.
As the wind gets chilly, it's almost time for knitted hats. I tried crocheting a beret.
Recently, I happened to come across a beautiful beret with lanterns in a book I was looking at, and in the picture there were three children wearing berets.
The top-down shot of the three of them lined up was very cute and impressive.
I'm not very good at wearing berets myself, but I thought it would be cute just to see a child wearing one, like the Nordic children I saw in a book.
I wanted to have my brothers wear this hat in different colors and patterns, so I first knitted one in my brother's size using medium weight yarn.
It's a little hard to see, but I've also made a knitting pattern.
It's difficult to match the gauge of the hat, but I would definitely recommend trying making one.
When I was knitting one for my younger brother, I felt that the medium weight yarn would be a bit too bulky, so I tried knitting it with medium weight yarn, and it fit perfectly using the same knitting pattern.

Knitting pattern for a child's beret with pompoms
Instructions
Please refer to the knitting pattern along with the instructions below.
①Start knitting from the top of the hat.
After casting on the loop, start by knitting 6 round stitches and increase the number of stitches in each row as you go (see knitting pattern).
② Knit while changing the color of the yarn.Changing the color for each rowPlease refer to the " page.
The color scheme for my brother's hat is gray for rows 1 to 4, white for row 5, gray for rows 6 to 9, and white for row 10, so there is one row of white knitted every four rows of gray.
My younger brother's hat is knitted in colors 1-4 (light gray) and 5-7 (light blue). Rows 1-4 are knitted in four rows of light gray, but from then on, light gray and light blue are knitted alternately every three rows.
For rows 2 to 17, work in a circular stitch, increasing 6 stitches in each row.
To make the circles as smooth as possible and to make it easier to count,Knitting pattern (circle)It is knitted according to the following rules.
To make the beret a little fuller, increase or decrease the number of stitches as you go, and continue knitting up to row 34.
3) Make a pompom and attach it to the top of the hat.
For detailed instructions on how to make bonbons, see "How to make yarn pom-pomsPlease refer to the " page.

Mutchan's mother's "children's beret with pompoms"
nice to meet you.
My granddaughter asked me to knit her a beret, so I was looking for one and found a knitting pattern for some adorable siblings!
I immediately borrowed it and started knitting.
Make three pieces in the color of your choice, changing the pompoms to flower motifs.
It turned out to be very cute.
Thank you for the wonderful knitting pattern.

Kotaro's Mama's "Children's beret with pompoms"
I made this for my son who is 1 year and 3 months old. It's so cute and I love it.
I couldn't find a color I liked so I knitted it with wool yarn, but next time I'd like to try knitting it with cotton yarn.
The knitting pattern was easy to understand and I was able to knit it in no time.
thank you!
