A crocheted shawl with a floral pattern in a grid stitch.

I made another one of my favorite crocheted triangular shawls (stoles).
I prefer to start knitting a triangular shawl from the pointed bottom.
So, you just knit until it's the right size and it's finished! That's what makes it flexible and easy to knit.

This shawl is designed so that the number of stitches in the edging will be the same no matter which row you stop knitting at.
Therefore, it is also possible to change the number of rows in the pattern stitch and add another set of flower patterns vertically.
It's not too late to think about it as you knit, so try adjusting it to your liking while considering the remaining yarn.

This piece is knitted using medium-weight linen yarn.
The rough texture of medium-weight yarn is nice, and if you use a thinner yarn, like fingering weight, it will probably turn out a bit thinner, so have fun thinking about which yarn to choose based on how you want to use it.

This shawl was easy to knit, so I'd like to try knitting it in a different color.
What color would you choose?

Detailed instructions and steps for making a "retro triangular shawl"

Please see the knitting diagram and pattern along with the instructions for how to make it.

①Cast on one chain stitch and begin knitting.
As shown in the knitting pattern, increase stitches at both ends in each row and knit using two chain stitches in a grid pattern.
From the sixth row onwards, fill in the squares with double stitches here and there to create a flower pattern.Pattern designPlease knit while looking at this.
Knit up to row 49, then knit row 50 using only grid stitches.

②For the 50th row, knit while looking at the back of the knitted fabric.
After completing the 50th row, turn the knitted fabric over and, without cutting the yarn, continue knitting the edge from the "Start of edge knitting" position on the knitting pattern. Knit the edge while looking at the right side of the fabric.
Once you have completed one revolution, pull the thread through to the first stitch and cut it.

I knitted it large, enjoying the floral pattern that appeared with each row.
I'm happy to have made a scarf that will be very useful in autumn and spring (*^^*)

I had so much fun knitting a polka dot triangular scarf that I got hooked on making scarves, and I knitted this as a gift for my grandmother.
I knitted it with pink yarn and it turned out cute!
