This is a crocheted piece.
I came up with the idea of creating a lightweight crocheted bag with a pleasant mesh feel.
It's not bulky, so I think it would be useful for sorting small items that tend to get lost in a basket bag.
This one is small because it is knitted with fine cotton yarn, but if you knit it with medium-weight yarn, it would be a good size for a short outing.
You can adjust the height of the bag by changing the number of sections, or the length by changing the number of stitches on the chain handle, and arrange it to your liking.
It will still be simple and cute even if you knit the handle in one color without changing the color.
Once summer is over, it may even come in handy as a decorative piece.

Instructions
① From the beginning, use green yarn to knit the bag body.
Cast on the chain and make 39 stitches. For the first row of double crochets, for the first half, pick up one stitch on the other side of the cast-on chain and the back of the crochet, and for the other half, pick up one of the chain stitches that you didn't pick up earlier.
In rows 1 and 2, increase stitches on both ends to knit the bottom of the bag.
②For rows 3 to 20, knit the sides without increasing or decreasing the number of stitches.
On the 21st row, make one full loop, knitting 50 chain stitches to form the handle in two places along the way.
③For the 22nd row, change to navy blue yarn and work in a circular stitch.
For the chain part of the handle, weave one chain on the other side and the back of the chain.
④ Attach the same navy blue thread as in row 22 to the inside of the handle, pick up one of the chains of the handle that was not picked up in row ③, and make one full circle with a circular stitch, then cut the thread.
Knit the other handle in the same way.

When returning a book I had borrowed for a long time, I knitted this mini bag as a token of my appreciation.
It is longer to fit the size of the book.

I immediately started knitting it. I used extra thick cotton yarn and increased the number of rows to make it a little larger.
Because it is large, I reinforced the handle with additional stitching.
Your favorite bag is complete.
