Free Crochet Pattern: Pattern: Asanoha (Hemp Leaf) Drawstring Pouch | All-Season

This is a crocheted piece.

The other day, I bought a retro Showa-era crochet book.
There are lots of knitting patterns, and each pattern has a name.
The pattern I chose from among them is called "Hemp Leaf."
It's not too transparent, not too bulky, and has a cute pattern.

I tried making a very ordinary drawstring pouch using hemp leaves.
The knitting method may seem unfamiliar at first glance, but it's a two-row pattern, so once you start knitting, it's easy to make.
The piece in the photo was knitted using linen thread, inspired by the hemp leaf motif.

Instructions

Please see the knitting pattern along with the instructions. There are patterns for the main body of the drawstring pouch and the top edge of the pouch.

①Start knitting from the bottom of the drawstring bag. Cast on a loop and knit 6 quarter stitches.
Increase the number of stitches each row and work the knit stitch up to the 11th row.
Please note that the number of increases is different only in row 11 (indicated by a red line in the knitting pattern).
For rows 12 to 14, work in a circular stitch without increasing or decreasing the number of stitches.

② Rows 15 to 26 are for the hemp leaf pattern. As you can see from rows 15 to 16 in the knitting pattern, there are two rows for one pattern, so repeat this until you reach row 26.

③In row 27, make one full circle with a small crochet and three chain stitches. In row 28, make a small crochet by gathering the chain from the previous row into a bundle. Once you have finished knitting row 28, the main body is complete.

④ Next, knit the string. Knit 110 chain stitches, then pull back the chain stitches with a slip stitch. You can also knit the same number of stitches with a thread cord. Knit two strings of the same length.

⑤ The green circle in the "Drawstring (Top) Pattern" is where you should thread the string. Thread the string through here and tie it.

I wanted to try knitting hemp leaf stitches, so I gave it a try.
It's a lovely knit.
Next I would like to try making a tote bag.

I'm a beginner who just started knitting this year.
I thought the hemp leaf pattern was lovely, so I tried it, but as I was knitting, I got so much fun that I couldn't stop...
For some reason it became a plastic bottle holder (lol)
I knitted it using Hamanaka Flax S and size 5 needles.
I'm still not very good at it, but I'd like to try other recipes again!
