Crocheted rosette into a brooch
I made a rosette-like brooch using crochet.
The word rosette is said to come from a word that describes the shape of a rose flower.
This piece was also knitted with the image of a medal made of pleated ribbon in the shape of flower petals.
Rosettes also seem to be happy items that are used at weddings and parties.
I also imagined a scene like a girls' home party while knitting, so I think it was close to what I had in mind.
I finished this off by sewing a walnut button in the middle.
Covered buttons can be made from small scraps of fabric, and are a fun item that will make you want to try them out with different fabrics.
Please try to find yarn and fabric that go well together.
You can knit several pom-poms in a short amount of time, so it might be a good idea to knit them for an event or as a gift for a friend.

How to make a rosette-style brooch
Please refer to the crochet pattern along with these instructions.
① Start knitting by creating a loop.
Knit rows 2 to 4 while increasing stitches. When you finish knitting row 4, you will have 24 stitches in one round.
② Make pleats in the 5th row.
To make pleats, work 7 double crochets into the previous row, then chain 3 stitches, then 7 double crochets, and repeat. You will make 12 pleats in one round.
③ After folding the pleats to shape them, attach a walnut button to the front and a brooch pin to the back.
