Start by casting on a chain, then knit back and forth using a knit stitch.
Cast on a chain of 8 stitches, then in the first row, pick up one chain on the other side of the cast-on chain and the back of the knot.
Knit up to the 6th row without increasing or decreasing the number of stitches.
Once you have knitted up to the sixth row, continue using the same yarn and knit a single stitch around the entire edge of the knitted piece to create a border.

I've knitted various things, but this is my first time posting.
I made it summery so it would attach to a pool bag. The face was a bit difficult, but I'm happy with the result.
I think knitting is really difficult and has a lot of depth, from how to pick up stitches to how to finish them off.
