I am pleased to announce that, having completed the test crochet, I am now able to release the "Stilla Top" crochet pattern.
We are now releasing both the Japanese and English versions of the patterns simultaneously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To all the test crocheters, thank you so much for your hard work!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since this was my first test crochet project, I was nervous, wondering if there would be any shortcomings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, since this was my first time creating an English pattern for the apparel category, so soliciting test crochet samples in English was an even more nerve-wracking experience.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the test crocheters for their kind and attentive support, which allowed us to proceed with peace of mind throughout the process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This time, the English version went through technical editing by a tech editor before the test crochet.
Creating an English version allows us to view the Japanese version from a different perspective, so I'm relieved that there are no design errors in either the Japanese or English versions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, there were several typos and omissions that I would never have noticed myself, so I was really grateful for the feedback I received through the test crochet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I knitted two of these myself, one in size 1 and one in size 6, so it's very reassuring to know that someone else has actually knitted them as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everyone was able to choose and adjust the sizes smoothly, and create a garment that perfectly suited them, so I'm delighted that it will be a garment you can use and enjoy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am sorry that we were unable to offer a test crochet project to everyone who applied this time.
We may have opportunities to recruit participants for different projects in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To everyone who participated in our first test crochet session, and to everyone who participates in future test crochet sessions that suit your preferences, we look forward to seeing you again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While I was having the English patterns technically edited...
I created a form to recruit test crocheters and prepared a Ravelry page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I also added a few more photos to the shoot for the project, which always gives me a headache.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The key to this project was the range of sizes, and I'm relieved that the feedback from the technical section indicated no issues with the numerical consistency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This time, through tech editing, I gained a valuable insight into how other countries view intellectual property rights.
That's one of the reasons why I want to continue writing English sentence patterns in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I often feel hesitant to take on new challenges, but I feel that new discoveries are what motivate me to take the next step.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The test crochet was a first for me, so it took a little time to prepare, but I've finally reached the stage where I can reach out to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I spent several days typing into English sentence patterns, like holding my breath and diving underwater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was finally able to lift my head out of the water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I still feel like I've been in another world, and my vision hasn't fully returned to normal yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I try to create both a Japanese and an English version of a pattern, the first thing I do is create the knitting chart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The English text then explains how to knit each row in detail, while referring to the knitting pattern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Something I always think about after finishing a task.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you can knit using only text, then why bother with a pattern?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strangely enough, even when looking at foreign books, knitting instructions sometimes include knitting diagrams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In that case, wouldn't just the knitting pattern suffice?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It makes you want to look for ways to improve things and make them a little more efficient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I'd like to say that I'll just make it text-only because knitting patterns are too much work, but my brain is wired in such a way that I can't even write text without a knitting pattern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I don't know if it's the right or left brain, but I can only conclude that knitting charts and English patterns require different ways of using the brain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the English version, checking whether the numbers add up is crucial, and once you start doing this, it becomes fun and you get completely absorbed in it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This time, the grading (size range) was something I tried for the first time, and that was exactly it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While creating the patterns, I feel like I caught a glimpse of a new frontier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have the utmost respect for overseas designers who go through this arduous task to sell their patterns, and although it's like "once you've started, you're backed into it," now that I know about it, it's a task I want to impose on myself in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It seems I'll need to get used to creating works that are designed with grading in mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once you can swim a little, you might want to swim further and see different scenery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


We plan to recruit test crocheters for this English pattern once the tech editing is complete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prior to that, I'm thinking of asking for the first test crochet for the Japanese version as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This project is full of new and innovative approaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\n

Perhaps it's good to be a little anxious about what the future holds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Knitting the same piece repeatedly can be reassuring and relaxing, but it also tends to slow down progress.
It should turn out without any problems, and it absolutely must.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At times like these, I sometimes wish I had someone to knit for me...<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, it's also true that it was a knit pattern and size that I wanted to check out for myself at least once.
I didn't go down the route of having someone else knit it for me, and that's how things have ended up where they are now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unlike the first project, this time I have almost no thoughts about this particular piece, so I sometimes get bored while knitting or start thinking about other things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At that time, I felt like trying to take a video, and I think that helped me enjoy York more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It's still a long road ahead, but it seems I have no choice but to move forward while adjusting my motivation and pace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
