Single crochet back loop only (scblo)

We will explain how to crochet the "stitch stitch" using video and still images.

With stripe stitches, a horizontal stripe appears at the base of the stitch, which gives the knitted fabric its character. This knitting method can also be used when you want to add an angle to the knitted fabric, such as when making an amigurumi.

Although the name of the knitting method is "suji crochet," the operation when knitting is the same as knot stitch, the only difference is where you insert the needle. With knot stitch, you pick up two stitches at the top of the previous row, but with knot stitch, you pick up just one stitch at the back of the previous row.
When making amigurumi, there are times when you want to pick up just the one strand in front and knit, so here we have prepared videos showing both regular single stitches and thin single stitches where you pick up just the one strand in front (the single stitch will appear on the back of the knitted piece).
