There are probably a few Japanese words that are understood overseas, such as sushi and tempura, but as a crocheter, it's nice to know that the Japanese word "amigurumi" is also used overseas in the knitting world.

I'm sure that many of you who enjoy crocheting have tried to crochet an amigurumi.
When my children were little, I used to knit various crocheted dolls for them to play house with.

This is another fun and addictive thing to do.

Bags and shawls are practical and have a clear purpose, but amigurumi, a type of knitting that is not directly related to practicality, is also full of a unique world view and fun.
